Learning or Improving Golf at Eastman Golf Links Print E-mail

Get some exercise, have some fun, be with your friends, and play a game of integrity.

To really improve at golf, two elements combine to help this happen best.  One—good instruction—and two—equipment that is suitable to your skills. We have you covered from start to finish. The learning programs are below. We also have more than 150 pieces of demonstration equipment that you can use on the driving range or the golf course, FOR FREE. If you are more experienced and want to be fitted to your equipment, we utilize Ping Golf, Callaway Golf, and Cleveland Golf golf clubs for custom fittings.

Also, you may be able to trade your used, quality equipment towards new equipment by using http://tradein.pgalinks.com/ . This is a great service you can utilize online. You simply bring the coupon from the website directly to our golf shop for immediate savings.

How do you benefit from all this effort?

Group Instruction

We have been adding learning programs for the last 4 years. They have been extremely successful. These sessions were designed for beginning golfers and those with limited on-course experience. For 2010, the Eastman teaching staff has been chosen as one of the 50 facilities in New England to teach the 'Get Golf Ready' program. This is a national effort by the World Golf Foundation and PGA of America. More info is at http://www.playgolfamerica.com/ggr/ and registration can be found at http://www.playgolfamerica.com/. Simply enter the zip code 03753 for Eastman and chose Eastman Golf Links.

You can also sign up for Golf 201 (graduates of 'Get Golf Ready') at www.playgolfamerica.com. Of course, you can always call the Golf Shop at 603.863.4500 for information.

Private Instruction

Golf instruction needs reality. Not every shot is on a flat lie in the fairway. The driving range is a good place to learn important golf concepts, swing fundamentals, and specific drills; however, the course needs to be utilized when it comes to teaching specialty shots, course strategy, and the ability to 'score.' Options for lessons include 15-minute assessments, 1-hour privates, video, and several multi-session programs. Also, if you are more serious about your equipment, club fittings are available by appointment on most days.
